Reports surfaced last week that Soulja Boy was behind on rent for the Hollywood Hills home he’s living in.
The landlord of the property reportedly told TMZ that he was planning to take legal action if the rapper didn’t bring his payments up to date. But since then, a rep for Soulja Boy reached out to us, saying the claims are “wildly inaccurate”.
The rapper’s PR manager, Raýmani Zaloumis-Steele, said the home is not leased to Soulja Boy at all, but instead, to his business partner Possible Philly.
“Soulja Boy has nothing to do with the rental agreement and subsequently his name should not have been included in any accounts related to the property,” Zaloumis-Steele told us.
He goes on to claim that Philly paid six months worth of rent, in advance, as well as additional payments to cover utilities. And also says the property is “predominantly used” to run a clothing line launched in a partnership between Philly and Soulja.
“Soulja Boy is NOT currently experiencing any financial hardships,” the rep added.
